2nd Job Interview

Another of my agent's arrangement so I went with hope. Two chinese guys were giving interview and one of them was an Asia GM. The vacant position will be his PA and he demanded this position to be able to work over the weekend, willing to stay back late after office hours to make conference calls overseas, must not mind taking calls from him even after office hours while I am resting at home and willing to travel overseas. I requested to know the frequency of such an arrrangements but he was not open about it. I don't quite like the style and methods of receiving informations when I posed questions during the interview. One of them was having his light meal, in the same room, during the interview and I have to excuse him. The interviewers were not very forthcoming which hinder my decision making. The only frank reply was that he terminated his previous assistance for reason he is not willing to share wth me. The 2nd replacement could not cope under tremendous stress and is currently serving her resignation notice until mid September when I am supposed to take over her job. The company now made do with a junior assistance who joined two weeks ago. After briefly talking to the assistance whom I requested for her presence during the interview, I realised the stress came from the fact that the company has been working on manual system to get work done under tight deadline. However, the interviewers told me they were not willing to change the way they have been working. After the interview, I told my agent I am not comfortable working under such environment where there is no work and personal life balance which is deemed necessary in my final career journey. Surprisngly she agreed after explaining the company situation and promised to do her best to help me find another better job. So there ended another tiring and empty journey.
